The Church of God Luxembourg provides humanitarian aid through its local churches. Our main project at this moment is to support Regen in Romania https://regenfoundation.org/en/
Project Aletheia is the humanitarian aid organisation of the Church of God Luxembourg. It was initially established as a humanitarian aid soup kitchen in L’viv, Ukraine. We are, however, very pleased to announce that the Soup Kitchen has now been closed, since there is now no need for it. The State pays out basic incomes to the needy, which is not excessive, but it is enough to live on. This project was followed by support for a school for deaf children (Zovka), in the same country. We are able to withdraw from this work, thanks to a Swedish church taking over the full support of these – now – very happy children.
Our work has now transferred over to supporting a project in Romania. This involves us joining with TEEM, ‘The European Evangelical Mission’, which is run by Pastors John & Pauline England. They are moving to live in Romania and so will be our permanent, on-site point of contact. John & Pauline are sponsored by the Baptist Union of Romania.
The HOH Center is a transition center for young men between 18-25 years old. It is our goal to bring hope to the life of underprivileged young adults and empower them to grow and have stability in all aspects of life. Our program varies from 6 months to 2 years of training.
Our vision is to equip, train, mature and empower young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 to be able to live healthy lives and to be productive in the community.
Our mission is to provide mentoring and training through different personalized courses such as: discipleship, basic computer courses, life skills courses, financial stewardship, vocational courses and exposure to work environments at local businesses.
The desire of the Regen team is to help and provide opportunities to young adults that have a desire to grow and step out of their comfort zone. Our target is students coming from underprivileged environments including placement centers, rural areas, low-income families, etc.
